Our Favorite 'Insta-Worthy' NYC Coffee Shops This Month
The amount of coffee shops and cafes in New York City can be overwhelming. It might take some time before you find ‘your spot’. We’re here to help give you some coffee shop spot inspiration if you’re looking for a spot that is aesthetically pleasing. Caffeinate your Instagram feeds with these hidden gems.
L Room Cafe
Located on 41 West 14th Street, this NYC boutique cafe prioritizes aesthetic. If there is one thing to know about this cafe, it is that everything about L Room is “Instagrammable”. With glitter’d lattes (that we’re sure you’ve seen plastered all over your popular page) and picture perfect pastries, L Room’s menu won’t disappoint.
Pastry Chef, Carla Di Virgilio, created half a dozen “Insta-Worthy” and delicious treats for this aesthetically pleasing cafe.
First, we tried the “Lemon” pastry which is actually a white chocolate covered cake with a gooey lemon filling once cracked open.
Naturally, we had to get the “Rose Flower” pastry. Once cut open, a four layered mousse cake was revealed.
L Room is open 12PM-9PM on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 12PM-10PM on Thursdays, 12PM-10:30PM on Fridays and Saturdays, and 12PM-9PM on Sundays.
City Of Saints
City of Saints is one of our personal favorite coffee shops, with shops located in various nooks of New York and New Jersey. This charming coffee shop provides an inviting atmosphere, making it a perfect location for meetings and ‘’catch-ups”.
Every month we decorate the Bryant Park location windows with new and fun themes! This month we decided to go with a more minimal look from the past and decorate the windows with a deconstructed version of their ‘drink what you like’ logo. We based the color scheme of this season’s window display around the City of Saints brand colors. For this installation, we wanted to catch the eye of passerbys without obscuring the view into the cafe itself; creating a more inviting design.
For the spring season, we styled the Astor Place cafe with greenery and potted plants to create a more homey environment, encouraging guests to stay and chill.
The previous month we created a more dramatic window display, consisting of overflowing florals and a geometric wall that greeted passerbys and guests.
City of Saints is open 7AM-7PM Mondays through Fridays, and 9AM-5PM on Saturdays and Sundays.
Cha Cha Matcha
If you’re looking for good vibes and above average matcha, Cha Cha Matcha is your go-to. With always inviting baristas, a great playlist blasting, and a super charming atmosphere, everything about this spot screams good vibes. Cha Cha Matcha has three locations in New York City; one in Nomad, one in Nolita, and one in Noho.
Cha Cha Matcha in Nomad is open Mondays through Fridays 7AM–8PM and Saturdays and Sundays 8AM–8PM. Their Nolita and Noho hours are Mondays through Fridays 8AM–7:30PM and Saturdays and Sundays 9AM–7:30PM.
Whether you’re looking for a quick lunch break spot or somewhere to catch up with an old friend, Cha Cha Matcha’s inviting ambiance and Insta-Worthy matcha stenciled lattes won’t disappoint.
