Summer is finally here and we are just as excited to kick-off the season as you are! When we think of summer parties, we think of tablescapes, Insta-Worthy table settings, pool floats, sweet treats, decorated bar carts, and refreshing cocktails (or mocktails). Here’s our guide on how to host an effortlessly chic and ‘Instagram Worthy’ summer pool party.
Theme
What’s more Instagram friendly than a killer theme? You can choose to go with a really crazy theme, like a carnival or beach party, or stay simple with a monochromatic color themed party. Give your guests a fun reason to dress up and decorate your party space accordingly!
Cute Pool Floats/Decor
Blow up some flamingos, champagne bottles, oyster shells, pizza slices, and watermelon floats for your party. The more out-of-the-box the float, the cuter the Instagram photo will be.

Dress up your bar/bar cart
What a better way to keep drinks flowing through the party than off of an “Insta-Worthy” bar cart. Dress up a plain old bar cart with cascading florals for a fragrant and aesthetically pleasing party addition. To achieve that “summery” vibe, use tropical flowers and/or palm leaves to dress up your cart.
Health and Wellness Station
Health and wellness are a trending topic at the moment, and what better way to stay on trend than with either a sunscreen or smoothie stand. Since you’ve decided to take your party outside, why not promote UV protection and keep you guest cool with a smoothie station?
It is simple to achieve this kind of station at your next party. All you need is a bar cart or a table and some cool skincare products for your guest’s use! Use either or to display the products you plan on putting out for your guests.

Lounge area aesthetic (we think) sets the tone for parties. If you don’t find your guests lounging by the pool, or in the pool on a cute float, then you can most definitely find them here.
Create an inviting and charming ambiance for your guests by adding floral arrangements for decor.
Add Summer-Esk Flowers
Add summer blooms for decor and a fragrant scent! Flowers that are in season for the summer are dahlias, poppies, ranunculus, celosia, zinnias, scabiosas, and peonies (a fan favorite). Peonies and dahlias are gorgeous summer flowers because of their scent, colors, and size when they’ve fully bloomed.
Cockscomb celosia and zinnias are great summer plants because of their bold and bright colors. More importantly these plant types can withstand the summer heat, not needing much care.
Succulents are another option to use, as they can withstand the heat and do not require much attention. For a more earthy/bohemian vibe, you can use succulent terrariums in place of arrangements on tables, or choose to scatter lose succulents on tables in duos-trios.

Who doesn’t love a sweet treat? If you want an interactive station, consider a DIY dessert station. This can be a DIY cookie or cupcake decorating station or keep it cool with an ice cream station!
Keeping it simple is an option, but get creative with your dessert display because these too can make for a perfect photo moment! Keep in mind what kind of “insta-worthy” desserts you can offer your guests.
Balloons
Balloons are a cost-friendly and super trendy option. If you didn’t want to do a flower wall photo moment, a balloon moment is another great alternative! Balloon arches and walls are also a bit cheaper than a fresh or silk flower wall. So if you are looking for a cheaper option, definitely opt for the balloon moment option.
