What is a typical day like for you at B Floral?
A typical day at B floral?! There is no such thing! That is one of the things that I like the most about my job, no day is like the next!
What do you like most about working at B Floral?
I love the creative collaboration part of my job — brainstorming with my teammates is the best. I also love to see ideas come to life!
What is the most difficult part of your job?
The most difficult part of the job for me is accepting that I have less of a hands-on position. When I first started, I was making a lot more with my hands and now that I’ve stepped into a management role I find my time is more about managing and coordinating — so that has really been a change!
Did you always want to work in Events? How did your career lead you to B Floral?
Yes! I freelanced at B Floral for approximately a year prior to becoming fulltime. A friend of mine was working at the company and brought me on board!
What has been your favorite event (or events) that you’ve worked on and why?
My favorite event was with Jack Morton for Belvedere Single Estate Rye Series. It was a full venue transformation and it was incredible. I loved the feeling of the space around you after the event setup. We created a forest & lake environment and it was truly immersive.
Who do you look to for advice when it’s needed?
It depends on the type of advice I am looking for! Some of my go-to advice givers include my fiancé Gus, my aunt Diane & my friend Steph!
If you had to give a piece of advice to 13 year old you, what would it be?
“It doesn’t matter what you think of me it only matters what I think of me.” And an all-time favorite of mine… “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.”
When you are not at work, what do you like to do in your free time?
I love to spend time with my family! I love cruises! I love cooking and love spending time outside.
What is your proudest moment at B Floral?
My proudest moment at B Floral was packing up our old studio and moving into our current location!
What has surprised you about working in the events industry?
NOTHING….it is all one big surprise!
If you were a flower, what would you be?
A peony, a little hard to open up but once it does it is totally worth it!
