Art Basel, in America 2015

Art Basel, in America 2015

This week kicks off Art Basel 2015, in Miami, Florida. Art Basel will go on from December 3rd to the 6th this year, showcasing leading galleries from North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. This year - like years past - will feature all types of modern and contemporary art in the form of paintings, sculptures, installations, photographs, films and editioned work.

Art Basel is one the best events during the year, for event planners and (floral) designers alike, to peruse the showcase of each artist and, if you're lucky enough to attend this exciting week-long event, absorb the energy and culture. The inspiration is profound.

The very unique, and most appealing, factor of Art Basel Miami is that it's carefully designed to have various works of art, important works from historical masterpieces that coincide a new generation of artists. We are very excited to share some sneak peeks of special events launching tonight and later this week.

If you're looking for a must-see at Art Basel (like everything isn't already a must-see) look into checking out Motocinema's Picture Start curated by Loretta Harms in partnership with Morrison Hotel Gallery at the EPIC - A Kimpton Hotel. Tonight, December 2nd, is the highly anticipated unveil of photography art by Norman Seeff and Masayoshi Sukita, displaying rock-and-roll celebs from the 60s and 70s. Sukita's 40-year collaboration with David Bowie is one of the bigger statements for this event as it marks only the second time these photos are on view in North America. And Norman Seeff, if unfamiliar, is an absolute wonder in the scope of photography. His shots of timeless celebrities puts you in awe at the relation and comfortability that each one exhibits. The VIP-only kick off starts tonight from 6pm-10pm and will be open to the public starting December 3rd.

For full coverage, please feel free to check out Morrison Hotel Gallery for more information on the featured work and event!
