DIY Valentine's Day Wreaths
When looking to expand upon the typical decorating habits for Valentine’s Day, it can be hard to find pieces that feel young and lively, yet still elegant and chic. One of our favorite ways to spread the love on this heart filled day is by decorating with wreaths that display all of the affection and fondness that you wish to emit on this romantic occasion.
Whether you are having an event celebrating “Galentine’s Day” with a few gal pals or keeping it traditional and sharing the evening with your significant other, it’s the perfect happy medium for the type of person who doesn’t want to take down the Christmas decor yet, but is ready to move on from the winter blues! A Valentine’s Day themed wreath is sure to get your guests talking and makes for an “Instagrammable” moment like no other.
Our designers put together three examples of these wreaths and we’re in love with ALL of them! Although they follow a typical wreath pattern, whether it’s a circle or a heart shape, they all use varying elements within them. Some even have a few fun accessories such as faux butterflies! Check out below to see how they were put together, the materials used and ideas to incorporate them into your Valentine’s Day decor as a whole!
With this wreath, it was time to go above and beyond any previous ideas or expectations of wreaths that you’ve had in the past! It is comprised of the following elements: dried pampas grass dyed pink, rose gold painted plumosa fern, red painted plumosa fern, hot pink feathers, metallic pink painted spiral eucalyptus, rose gold painted sago palms, pink preserved roses, red lace ribbon, pink velvet ribbon, and curly willow. It has a classic, traditional look that could be used to decorate any type of Valentine’s Day party. Use it as a hanging installation above your table or as the first piece that your guests see as they walk into your event. Jaws will be sure to drop!
This wreath focuses on the more moody, romantic aspects of Valentine’s Day. The interior of the wreath is all Anthurium. The exterior utilizes a couple of different elements: dyed plumosa fern, Charlotte Vanda orchids, burgundy succulents and burnt orange spray roses. The leafy elements of the design are walteri rainbow. This wreath would be perfect as a centerpiece for the magnificent tablescape you’re planning for your next event. It’s edgy and adventurous, but still charming.
This cute heart shaped wreath is made up of all dry and preserved florals. We used elements such as bunny tail grass, sprayed eucalyptus, straw flower and preserved roses to complete this lovely creation. It would be the perfect selection for a #girlpower focused event! It’s feminine and fun, but delicate and chic.
